Job Summary:
The Pastry chef is responsible for creating , preparing, and presenting high quality pastries, desserts and baked goods. This role involves developing new recipes, maintaining consistent quality standards, ensuring food safety compliance, and contributing to the overall menu planning and presentation.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in pastry and dessert preparation
- Strong knowledge of baking techniques and presentation
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Culinary or pastry certification is an advantage
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and present pastries, desserts and baked goods to company standards
- Maintain cleanliness, hygiene and organization in the pastry section
- Monitor stock levels and ensure proper portion control
- Coordinate with the Head Chef and other kitchen staff for smooth operations.
