Role Overview
We are looking for an Employee Relations Specialist to support our construction teams and office staff by promoting a fair, safe, and engaging workplace. This role focuses on resolving workplace concerns, supporting managers, and driving employee engagement initiatives across projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact for employee concerns and workplace issues.
- Conduct and document investigations into employee relations matters.
- Guide supervisors on performance management, conflict resolution, and policy compliance.
- Partner with site leadership to build a respectful, productive, and safety-focused culture.
- Plan and coordinate employee engagement activities (e.g., recognition programs, team-building, site events).
- Track employee relations trends and recommend improvements.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in HR or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2–3 years of employee relations or HR generalist experience (construction or field-based industry preferred).
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and workplace investigation practices.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to build trust and maintain confidentiality.
- Can start immediately is preferred.
