Accounts Payable Specialist (Remote | Flexible Hours | Start ASAP)

We're seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Payable Specialist to support our finance team in managing vendor invoices and maintaining accurate financial records. This is a remote freelance or part-time role, perfect for someone who is proactive, process-driven, and takes full ownership of their work to ensure accuracy and efficiency at every step.

Key Responsibilities

  • Record and process incoming vendor invoices with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies or obtain missing information
  • Follow up with internal stakeholders to collect outstanding invoices or approvals
  • Maintain a clear, organized overview of all accounts payable activities
  • Prepare regular A/P reports to support month-end closing and financial reviews
  • Assist in VAT return preparation by ensuring all invoices are complete and correctly booked
  • Support monthly expense reconciliations and actuals vs. budget analyses
  • Develop and refine A/P workflows through clear and effective SOP documentation

Requirements

  • Proven experience in Accounts Payable or a finance support role
  • Solid understanding of invoice processing, vendor management, and bookkeeping principles
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a remote setup
  • Fluency in English
  • Comfortable working with documents or accounting data partially in Dutch (translation tools acceptable)

Nice to Have

  • Experience with accounting software such as Exact Online or Moss
  • Familiarity with Belgian accounting practices
  • Proficiency in Dutch (reading, writing, or understanding)
  • Experience handling international vendors and multi-currency transactions

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: Php Php581.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
