Job Summary:
The HR Officer – Employee & Labor Relations is responsible for managing employee and labor relations functions to ensure a compliant, fair, and harmonious workplace. This role supervises a team handling employee concerns, grievance management, disciplinary cases, and workplace dispute resolution. The Officer also supports management in enforcing company policies, maintaining labor law compliance, and strengthening employee engagement through effective communication and partnership.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and provide direction to staff under the Employee & Labor Relations function.
- Oversee workloads, case assignments, and documentation to ensure quality and timeliness.
- Coach, mentor, and develop staff to strengthen their technical and interpersonal skills.
- Serve as point of escalation for workplace issues, grievances, and disputes.
- Lead investigations into employee complaints, misconduct, and violations of company policy.
- Recommend disciplinary actions while ensuring compliance with due process.
- Maintain positive labor-management relations and provide support during labor-related meetings.
- Ensure consistent application of labor policies and practices in compliance with legal standards.
- Implement HR policies and Code of Conduct consistently across all levels.
- Review and approve documentation prepared by staff for disciplinary and grievance cases.
- Advise management on labor laws, employment standards, and employee rights.
- Promote employee engagement through proactive communication and conflict resolution.
- Conduct orientations and trainings on company rules, workplace behavior, and labor policies.
- Support initiatives that strengthen workplace culture and employee satisfaction.

Supervises: Employee & Labor Relations Staff / HR Associates
