Be part of our client's team as a Senior Financial Accountant, leading the shift of accounting functions from external partners to internal teams. You will manage financial reporting, ensure compliance with global standards, oversee operations, and provide insights that drive strategic decisions in international marketing and advertising campaigns.

What You'll Bring to the Role

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or equivalent preferred)
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in financial accounting, reporting, compliance, and audit
• Proven experience in overseeing transitions of accounting functions
• Proficiency in ERP systems such as NetSuite, BlackLine, and
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a remote setup
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Your Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting & Compliance

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with company policies, local and international accounting standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., GAAP, IFRS)
• Analyze financial statements, identify trends, discrepancies, and potential financial risks
• Ensure accuracy of financial reports to support key business decisions
• Monitor compliance with accounting standards and regulations; adjust practices as needed

Transition Management

• Lead transition of accounting functions from third-party providers to internal management
• Serve as main point of contact for internal and external stakeholders during the transition
• Integrate third-party systems and processes into the company's internal structure
• Document workflows, identify gaps, and establish new procedures for the in-house accounting team
• Train and support internal team members to manage new processes and systems efficiently

Accounting Operations

• Oversee and maintain the general ledger to ensure accurate posting of financial transactions
• Manage accounts payable and receivable functions; ensure timely processing of payments and receipts
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit card accounts, and other financial records; resolve discrepancies promptly
• Implement best practices in financial management and accounting to enhance efficiency and accuracy

Expense Management

• Review and approve incoming bills and invoices; ensure compliance with company policies and standards
• Review and post global payroll journal entries accurately and in compliance with tax and labor laws
• Ensure employee expense reports comply with Corporate Expense Reimbursement policy; approve and track reimbursements

Audit & Tax Compliance

• Oversee accurate and timely tax filings, including corporate tax, VAT/GST, and other applicable taxes
• Prepare documentation and support for external audits; implement recommended improvements
• Ensure regulatory compliance in financial reporting, tax regulations, and industry-specific standards
