Business Development Manager

Work Arrangement: Full-time, Remote (APAC-aligned)

Salary: PHP 95,000–150,000 per month

Reporting to: Managing Director

Role Overview

We're hiring a Business Development Manager to drive new business growth for Pleco. This role focuses on prospecting, engaging, and converting SME and enterprise clients looking for offshore and outsourcing solutions, primarily in Australia and New Zealand.

The BDM plays a key role in building a strong sales pipeline, understanding client needs, shaping offshore solutions, and supporting sustainable revenue growth into 2026 and beyond. This is a senior, consultative sales role suited for someone who understands the realities of offshoring and can sell with credibility.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales

  • Prospect and engage potential SME and enterprise clients in offshore-heavy markets, primarily Australia and New Zealand
  • Conduct discovery conversations to understand client needs, operating models, and readiness for offshoring
  • Position Pleco's offshore solutions clearly, including role design, pricing, and delivery structure
  • Progress opportunities through the full sales cycle, from initial contact to proposal and close

Client Engagement & Internal Coordination

  • Build strong relationships with senior stakeholders and overseas clients
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth handover from sales to delivery
  • Align opportunities with delivery capacity, margin targets, and long-term client success

Pipeline & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate pipeline tracking, reporting, and forecasting
  • Ensure opportunities are progressed in line with business priorities and capacity

Requirements

Experience & Knowledge

  • Proven experience in BPO, offshoring, or outsourcing environments
  • Strong understanding of offshore delivery models, commercial structures, and client expectations
  • Track record of converting leads into structured, closeable opportunities

Skills & Attributes

  • Confident engaging senior stakeholders and managing international clients
  • Commercially minded, self-directed, and comfortable working with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills

What This Role Is Not

  • Not a pure account management role
  • Not a high-volume transactional or call-centre sales role
  • Not a junior or SDR-style position

This role suits someone who understands offshoring end to end, sells thoughtfully, and balances growth with delivery realities.
