Purchasing Assistant

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in sourcing suppliers and obtaining quotations.
  • Process purchase orders and follow up on order status.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and internal departments to ensure timely delivery.
  • Monitor inventory levels and notify the team of shortages.
  • Support in evaluating vendor performance and maintaining supplier databases.
  • Assist in resolving any order or delivery issues.
  • Perform other administrative duties as needed within the department.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or any related field.
  • At least 6 months of relevant internship or work experience (preferred but not required).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
