Virtual Assistant (VA) – Xero background
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Virtual Assistant with a strong background in Xero accounting software and excellent communication skills. The successful candidate will provide administrative and accounting support to ensure smooth business operations. You will be responsible for managing bookkeeping tasks, handling client communications, and assisting in day-to-day business activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform bookkeeping tasks using Xero (invoicing, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliation, payroll support).
- Maintain accurate financial records and ensure timely data entry.
- Assist with preparation of financial reports as required.
- Communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and internal teams via email, chat, or calls.
- Provide general administrative support (scheduling, document preparation, data entry).
- Ensure confidentiality and accuracy in handling sensitive information.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- At least 1-2 years experience as a Virtual Assistant, Administrative Assistant, or Bookkeeper.
- Proficiency in Xero (certification is a plus).
- Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Tech-savvy, with proficiency in MS Office/Google Workspace and online collaboration tools (Zoom, Slack, Trello, etc.).
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Preferred:
- Experience working with Australian or international accounts.
- Background in outsourcing, BPO setup.
