Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the daily operations of the Accounts Payable sections of MTSC as follows:

a) Supervise the Payable Staff.

b) Ensure that all invoices received are properly supported, accurately recorded and promptly paid.

  1. Reconcile and monitor vendor's accounts (Vendors Statement of Account vs. A/P subsidiary system) and ensure that discrepancies are identified and resolved – to be done regularly. Reconciliation report to be submitted to the Chief Accountant every quarter.

  2. Monitor open PO items in the "Invoice to be received" GL accounts and ensure that the items are closed.

  3. Prepare Accounts payable Aging Report on a weekly basis for submission to Management (RPG/VAM/Allen).

  4. Responsible for the monthly preparation of summary list of purchases (SLP) and quarterly submission of SLP report to the BIR.

  5. Monthly remittance of withholding taxes on compensation, expanded and final tax.

  6. Quarterly filing of ITR and Percentage tax of Sextant and monthly filing of Withholding tax, Compensation and EWT of Sextant.

  7. Responsible in the monthly accrual entry and payment of Non-trades payables (Telecommunication, Xerox) and tug services.

  9. Filing of Business Permits of MTSC (quarterly)

Qualifications:

  • Minimum required Education : Bachelor of Science in Accountancy
  • Minimum experience : 4 years of accounts payable experience 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Knowledge of Accounting principles and procedures
