You will be responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate job costing, certified payroll compliance, budget tracking, and financial reporting. Senior Cost Accountant – Remote (Philippines-Based)

Overview

KeepingCount is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic and growing team. This remote role is based in the Philippines and initially requires alignment with your manager's time zone. The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting expertise, particularly within the construction, HVAC, or home services industries, and will play a key role in supporting multiple U.S.-based clients.

You will be responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate job costing, certified payroll compliance, budget tracking, and financial reporting. This role involves close collaboration with project managers and leadership teams to promote financial transparency and drive project success.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and review job cost accounting and project-based financials
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes across multiple client accounts
• Coordinate with project and operations teams for cost allocation and revenue recognition
• Oversee certified payroll reporting, time tracking, and labor costing for projects
• Prepare financial statements, WIP (Work-In-Progress) reports, and client-facing summaries
• Ensure compliance with internal policies and accounting standards
• Coordinate A/R invoicing and A/P settlement
  Prepare and review account reconciliations

Qualifications

Experience:

• 2–5 years of hands-on accounting and bookkeeping experience
• Industry experience in HVAC, construction, or home services is required
• Proven ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-accountants
• Demonstrated success in managing priorities across competing deadlines

• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Strong client and project management capabilities
• Collaborative mindset with a proactive approach to problem-solving
• High level of initiative, organization, and reliability in a remote work environment
• Analytical thinking with attention to detail and accuracy

Technical Proficiency:

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
• Experience with QuickBooks Online or similar accounting platforms
• Familiarity with tools such as Gusto, Karbon, , Divvy, HubDoc, Service Titan, and ChargeOver is a plus
• Comfortable using video conferencing, chat, and email in a remote setup
• Quick learner with a strong aptitude for new technologies

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (required)
• CPA or equivalent certification (preferred)

Work Schedule

• Full-time remote role based in the Philippines
• First 90 days: Work hours aligned with manager's time zone (10:00 PM – 6:00 AM PHT)
• After 90 days: Flexible schedule with a minimum 4-hour overlap with manager's time zone
