Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our growing financial team. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in accounting operations, preferably within a family office setup, multi-entity structures, or exposure to the Australian accounting environment. This role requires strong technical capability, exceptional accuracy, and the ability to support tax agents, auditors, and financial advisors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end accounting operations across multiple entities
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports
  • Maintain general ledgers, reconciliations, and journal entries
  • Support external tax agents with documentation and compliance tasks
  • Coordinate with external auditors and financial advisors as needed
  • Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including relevant Australian accounting standards
  • Prepare and support lodgements and reporting related to:
  • BAS
  • GST
  • PAYG
  • Superannuation
  • Implement best practices and support continuous improvement initiatives in financial processes

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum 5 years experience in accounting roles

Prior work with a family office or multi-entity accounting structure (preferred)

Experience in Australian financial compliance or supporting Australian firms

Strong understanding of Australian tax components (BAS, GST, PAYG, Super)

Experience collaborating with:

  • Tax agents
  • External auditors
  • Financial advisors

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Xero preferred), spreadsheets, and reporting tools

Job Type: Part-time
