Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to play a critical role in supporting the Company's financial reporting process, with a particular focus on the preparation and execution of key tasks in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close checklist. This role requires a strong accounting background, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform and own advanced accounting tasks, including bookkeeping, account reconciliation, financial record-keeping, and reporting.
• Prepare monthly financial reporting statements including (but not limited to) Balance Sheet, Income Statement, and Cash Flow Statement.
• Track, update, and audit job statuses in CRM & Quick Books Online
• Compile, calculate, audit, and book commission and payroll entries
• Assist in drafting of notes, management discussion, and analysis related to prepared monthly financial statements; prepare and and validate for management review
• Ensure account balances align with reconciliations and supporting schedules
• Lead, review and execute on entering and processing billing, invoice, and job data in a timely manner.
• Communicate professionally with internal and external stakeholders to resolve billing issues and ensure timely payments.
• Oversee the creation and maintenance of jobs and records; provide audits and reports of internal records when requested.
• Provide administrative support and guidance to junior accounting staff as needed.
• Optimize financial and accounting processes for improved efficiency and accuracy.
• Contribute to the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
• Assist with annual audit tasks as assigned; lead certain workflows when directed.
• Take on strategic financial responsibilities as needed.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in Excel and a strong understanding of accounting principles.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online (for reporting billing and invoicing), with the ability to optimize its use.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, with the ability to identify and correct discrepancies.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying financial information clearly.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines.
• Adaptability to new processes and systems, demonstrating a continuous learning mindset.
• Over seven years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles with a proven track record of success.
• Willingness to take on additional responsibilities and contribute to financial planning.
• Availability to work U.S. business hours.

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with CRM platforms such as Acculynx.
• Familiarity with remote collaboration tools such as Microsoft Teams.
• Experience in the US roofing or construction industry.
