Assistant HR Manager is responsible for supporting the HR Manager in overseeing the daily functions of the Human Resources department. This role assists in implementing company policies, managing recruitment and onboarding processes, handling employee relations, and ensuring compliance with labor laws. The Assistant HR Manager plays a key role in fostering a positive workplace culture and supporting both employees and management.
Key Responsibilities
1. High-Volume Recruitment & Onboarding
- Manages and executes full-cycle recruitment for various restaurant roles (e.g., Servers, Chefs, Bartenders, Dishwashers, and administrative staff).
- Develops and implements effective sourcing strategies, including job fairs, culinary schools, and online platforms.
- Screens resumes and conducts initial interviews to identify candidates with the right skills and cultural fit.
- Manages the new hire onboarding process, ensuring all documentation is complete and new employees have a smooth transition into their roles.
2. Employee Relations & Conflict Resolution
- Acts as a primary point of contact for employee inquiries and grievances, providing a confidential and fair platform for discussion.
- Assists in mediating and resolving workplace disputes and disciplinary issues, ensuring compliance with due process.
- Supports managers in implementing performance improvement plans and providing constructive feedback.
3. HR Administration & Compliance
- Ensures strict compliance with all local labor laws (e.g., DOLE issuances on wages, working hours, and benefits) and company policies.
- Manages all HR administrative tasks, including payroll inputs, attendance monitoring, and leave management.
- Maintains accurate and confidential employee records, from hiring to separation.
- Assists in preparing HR reports on key metrics such as employee turnover, recruitment cost, and labor trends.
