Key Responsibilities:

1. Planning & Coordination

  • Lead the overall MEPF planning, scheduling, and execution strategy for assigned projects.
  • Coordinate closely with architects, structural engineers, and design consultants to ensure MEPF plans align with the overall project design.
  • Review and validate MEPF drawings, shop drawings, technical specifications, and material submittals.
  • Ensure proper coordination of MEPF systems to avoid conflicts through regular coordination meetings and clash detection (if applicable with BIM).

2. Project Execution & Monitoring

  • Supervise and monitor the daily activities of MEPF subcontractors to ensure compliance with approved plans and safety protocols.
  • Oversee installation, testing, commissioning, and handover of all MEPF systems.
  • Ensure project milestones and deadlines are met by proactively resolving site issues.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to track quality, progress, and safety of MEPF works.

3. Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Ensure MEPF installations comply with local building codes, standards, and authority requirements.
  • Validate testing and commissioning procedures, as well as final system performance.
  • Review QA/QC reports, punch lists, and ensure timely closure of deficiencies.
  • Lead coordination with third-party inspectors, regulatory agencies, and utility service providers.

4. Technical & Cost Management

  • Evaluate material proposals and ensure compliance with technical specifications.
  • Work with procurement teams to assess supplier/subcontractor proposals and support cost efficiency.
  • Monitor MEPF budgets, manage change requests, and recommend corrective actions for cost variances.
  • Provide technical guidance and solutions for design conflicts or construction issues.

5. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate and updated records of MEPF drawings, approvals, permits, and inspection reports.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for management and stakeholders.
  • Manage handover documentation including as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and certifications.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering or related field.
  • Licensed Engineer preferred but not required.
  • Minimum of 10 years experience in MEPF coordination and management for building or infrastructure projects with at least 3 years in a Managerial role.
  • Strong experience working with contractors, consultants, and regulatory bodies.

Technical Skills

  • Expertise in MEPF design, installation, testing, and commissioning.
  • Knowledge of local building codes, safety standards, and permitting requirements.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office, and preferably BIM/Revit or other coordination tools.
  • Strong understanding of HVAC, power systems, FDAS, plumbing systems, and fire protection.

  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Effective communication and coordination skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Project-based or site-based work environment.
