Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Data Encoder to join our team. The Data Encoder will be responsible for accurately inputting, updating, and maintaining information into our databases and systems. The ideal candidate has strong typing skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to handle large volumes of data efficiently and accurately.
Key Responsibilities:
- Input, update, and maintain accurate data in company databases and software systems.
- Review and verify data for completeness, accuracy, and consistency.
- Perform regular data audits and quality checks.
- Organize and maintain electronic and physical records.
- Retrieve and update data as requested by management or other departments.
- Ensure data confidentiality and security at all times.
- Assist with generating reports based on entered data.
- Support administrative tasks and provide clerical assistance as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's diploma or equivalent; additional computer training or certification is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Data Encoder, Data Entry Clerk, or similar position is preferred.
- Fast and accurate typing skills (minimum 40 WPM preferred).
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and data entry software.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Work Environment:
- Office-based setting or remote work (depending on company policy).
- May require extended periods of sitting and typing.
Reports To:
Data Manager, Administrative Officer, or designated Supervisor.
