Job Description

As an Accounts Payable Accountant - Card Network Billing Specialist, you'll oversee and reconcile invoices from major card networks, ensure accuracy in financial records, and manage billing processes with precision. You'll play a vital role in maintaining the financial integrity of global payment operations.

The Qualifications We Seek

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in accounts payable or accounting roles within the payments industry
  • Demonstrated experience processing and reconciling invoices from Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover
  • Prior employment at a payments company such as PayPal, Adyen, Stripe, Marqeta, Worldpay, Fiserv, Square (Block), , Braintree, or similar organizations
  • Strong understanding of card network fee structures, interchange, assessments, and billing cycles
  • Proven ability to identify billing errors and resolve disputes with vendors
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for vendor correspondence

Your Daily Tasks

  • Manage and reconcile invoices from major card networks including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover
  • Analyze billing statements with a thorough understanding of network-specific line items, fees, and charges
  • Identify and investigate discrepancies in network billing and communicate findings effectively with vendor partners
  • Maintain accurate records of all card network payables and ensure timely processing
  • Collaborate with internal teams to validate billing accuracy against transaction data
  • Develop and maintain documentation of network billing processes and fee structures
