General Virtual Assistant – MYOB Accounting Background

Job Summary:

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented General Virtual Assistant (GVA) with solid experience in MYOB accounting software. The ideal candidate will handle bookkeeping, administrative, and coordination tasks to support smooth business operations while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.


Key Responsibilities:

Accounting & Bookkeeping (MYOB):

  • Manage daily bookkeeping tasks using MYOB (bank reconciliations, invoices, expenses, and payroll).
  • Record and categorize financial transactions accurately.
  • Generate and maintain financial reports, such as balance sheets and profit & loss statements.
  • Ensure timely data entry and proper document filing.
  • Support month-end closing and other accounting processes.

Administrative Support:

  • Handle data entry, scheduling, and file management.
  • Respond to client and internal emails professionally.
  • Prepare business documents, spreadsheets, and presentations.
  • Conduct online research and support project tracking as needed.

Communication & Coordination:

  • Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and clients to ensure smooth workflow.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial and business information.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum 1–2 years of experience as a Virtual Assistant, Bookkeeper, or Administrative Assistant.
  • Proven experience with MYOB accounting software (certification/ experience preferred).
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and project management tools (e.g., Trello, Asana, ClickUp).

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles and accounting processes.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks remotely and meet deadlines.
  • Professionalism and discretion in handling confidential data.
