Key responsibilities:

  • Manage reservations: Process new bookings, modifications, and cancellations accurately via phone, email, or online systems.
  • Provide information: Answer guest questions about room availability, rates, hotel amenities, policies, and local attractions.
  • Handle customer service: Serve as a first point of contact, resolve issues, and ensure a positive and professional experience for guests.
  • Process payments: Verify credit card information, process deposits, and handle payments for reservations.
  • Upsell services: Promote additional services, upgrades, or packages to enhance guest stays.
  • Coordinate internally: Liaise with other departments, such as housekeeping, to ensure room readiness and guest needs are met.
  • Maintain records: Keep reservation files and customer data updated and accurate.
  • Prepare reports: Assist with preparing expected arrival lists and future room availability forecasts.
