We are seeking a highly creative and driven Head Chef to lead our kitchen and culinary operations. This is a pivotal leadership role for a seasoned professional with a proven track record in modern kitchen management, a passion for progressive cuisine, and a talent for building and inspiring a team.

Key Responsibilities

The Head Chef will own the end-to-end culinary operations, from concept to execution. Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead all kitchen operations, including menu planning, research, development, and execution of an elevated, seasonal food program.
  • Recruit, train, mentor, and schedule all kitchen staff (sous chefs, line cooks, prep). Foster a culture of excellence, discipline, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage food costs through precise inventory control, ordering, waste reduction, and menu engineering. Assist in budgeting and contribute to achieving kitchen P&L targets.
  • Ensure the highest standards of food quality, consistency, taste, and presentation for every dish that leaves the kitchen.
  • Implement and maintain strict SOPs for all kitchen stations, food safety (HACCP), sanitation, equipment maintenance, and mise en place.
  • Collaborate with management and the bar team to create cohesive food and beverage pairings and special events.
  • Source high-quality, sustainable ingredients; build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, farmers, and purveyors.
  • Manage kitchen labor costs through efficient scheduling and productivity management.
  • Ensure the kitchen operates in full compliance with all local health, safety, and sanitation regulations.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 8 years of professional culinary experience, with at least 3 years in a Head Chef or Executive Sous Chef role in a high-volume, à la carte or fine-dining environment.
  • Strong culinary background with expertise in modern techniques, progressive flavors, and inventory/cost control systems.
  • Proven leadership and kitchen staff management skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • High attention to detail and a relentless commitment to quality and consistency.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in kitchen management software, inventory systems, and Google Workspace/Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness to work long hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent professional certification is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php26, Php40,000.00 per month
