About the Business: Yummy Tummy is a new international-flavor food truck serving North American comfort food from Canada, the USA, Mexico, and Jamaica. We're launching mid-November and looking for a dependable, organized, and passionate cook to join us from the ground up.


Position Summary:

We're looking for a Head Cook (Chef-in-Training) who will manage all daily food preparation from a large residential kitchen in Angeles City.

This person will follow provided recipes, handle ingredient sourcing, prepare marinades, sauces, and next-day menu items, and help set up the food truck each morning.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Prepare ingredients, marinades, sauces, and mixed recipes based on provided standards.
  2. Cook and portion menu items in advance for the food truck service.
  3. Shop for ingredients and supplies locally, focusing on quality and cost efficiency.
  4. Maintain kitchen cleanliness and follow food-safety standards.
  5. Prepare and stock the food truck each morning for the day's service.
  6. Coordinate with the food truck cook on daily requirements and schedules.
  7. Work independently once trained, maintaining consistency and accuracy in every recipe.

Qualifications:
  • At least 1 year of kitchen or cooking experience (home-based or professional).
  • Can follow recipes and instructions accurately.
  • Understands and speaks English.
  • Has own transportation (for shopping and daily commute).
  • Preferably familiar with Angeles City markets and suppliers.
  • Responsible, clean, and punctual.
  • Willing to learn and grow with the business.

Compensation:
  • Starting salary: Negotiable depending on experience.
  • Salary increase and added responsibilities as the food truck launches and scales.
  • Training and daily meals provided.

Work Location:

Residential kitchen in Angeles City, Pampanga

Schedule:

Full-time, Tuesday (afternoon) to Sunday (morning)

Approx. 6 AM – 6 PM (flexible depending on prep volume)
