Job Summary:

The Safety Officer is responsible for implementing, monitoring, and maintaining safety programs and policies to ensure a safe working environment at the project site. The role includes preparing safety documentation, conducting inspections, and submitting timely reports in compliance with company and government standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Monitor and enforce compliance with company safety policies and government regulations.

Conduct daily toolbox meetings and regular site safety inspections.

Prepare and maintain all safety-related documentation such as:

Incident/Accident Reports

Near Miss and Unsafe Act Reports

Safety Inspection Checklists

Permits to Work (PTW)

Monthly Safety Statistics Reports

Submit daily, weekly, and monthly safety reports to the Project Manager and Head Office.

Assist in conducting risk assessments and job hazard analyses (JHA).

Participate in accident investigations and recommend preventive actions.

Coordinate with site supervisors and foremen regarding safety compliance.

Conduct safety orientations and trainings for new workers.

Ensure that personal protective equipment (PPE) is properly used and maintained.

Support the implementation of emergency preparedness and response plans.
