What we're looking for

We are looking for a reliable and purpose-driven Safety Officer who will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of the work environment, as well as its people and outputs. This dedicated personnel will facilitate compliance with all safety programs and protocol, and share best practices with the staff, including OHS (Occupational, Health and Safety) guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that all food products meet product standards and are safe for consumption
  • Observe and audit production processes and conduct a risk assessment on an hourly or daily basis
  • Identify, report and correct unsafe practices or non-conformance to standard operating procedures and safety regulations
  • Inspect production equipment and processes to make sure they are safe
  • Coordinate with facilities for maintenance, repair, or replacement of unsafe and/or damaged equipment
  • Identify potential problems or improvement areas within company's operations and present safety plans to resolve such issues with team members
  • Participate in continuing education to update knowledge on health and safety protocols and techniques
  • Present safety principles to staff in meetings or lecture-type training sessions
  • Coordinate with HR department on all matters pertaining to health and safety and environment protection for the guidance of the company and its team members
  • Investigate root cause of audit findings or accidents and prepare (short-term and long-term) corrective action reports for presentation to stakeholders
  • Track team members and site compliance with health and safety rules, and present report to Management on a weekly and monthly basis

Qualifications

  • Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree
  • Adept in all facet of Occupation Health & Safety requirements and compliance
  • Excellent communication skills is a must
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
