We are looking for a Safety Specialist who will support the company's Safety Management System by assisting in the implementation of workplace safety and health programs. This role plays a key part in ensuring a safe and compliant work environment through field-level inspections, fire protection system monitoring, contractor safety oversight, and worker welfare management.

• Monitor day-to-day compliance with Safety, Security, Health, and Environmental (SSHE) requirements.
• Conduct regular workplace inspections and report unsafe acts or conditions.
• Assist in incident and accident investigations by providing field observations and documentation.
• Perform regular checks on firefighting equipment and coordinate maintenance or repairs.
• Enforce safety entry requirements for employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Support outage safety plans and oversee high-risk activities during plant outages.
• Monitor welfare facilities (e.g., sanitation, rest areas, first aid stations) and ensure compliance with standards.
• Facilitate toolbox talks, safety reminders, and PPE distribution.
• Maintain accurate records and submit timely safety reports.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in Safety, Engineering, Industrial Technology, or a related field.

Certifications (Preferred):

• Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) or equivalent
• Loss Control Management (LCM)
• Fire Safety, First Aid, or Basic Life Support certification
• Additional technical safety training (e.g., confined space entry, scaffolding, hot works, LOTO, etc.) is an advantage.

Experience:

• At least 1–2 years of experience in safety coordination, preferably in an industrial or power plant setting.
• Hands-on experience in firefighting equipment inspection, contractor safety, or outage safety management is a plus.
• Experience supporting safety audits or regulatory compliance.

Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of workplace safety regulations and OSH standards.
• Ability to identify hazards, recommend corrective actions, and prepare safety reports.
• Familiarity with fire protection systems and emergency procedures.
• Proficient in MS Office and reporting tools.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
