Job Description
Portiva started in 2009 with our mission to help Doctors and Medical Practitioners manage their practices better. Since then, Portiva has grown from a 3-person operation to one of the largest and most successful Medical and Dental Staff Providing Companies in the United States.
We are looking for an experienced IT-focused Business Development professional, who will drive the company's growth by identifying new opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and delivering value through tech-driven solutions. Expand adoption of the company's inference platform—especially its unique offerings like M1 Agent, optimized Stable Diffusion services, and developer SDKs.
This is a work-from-home opportunity.
This is a full-time position, 30-40 hrs a week
The rate is $7 an hour or Php 60, ,000 per month
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including market expansion and partnerships.
- Identify industries—e.g., gaming, media production, e-commerce, design, ad-tech—where rapid AI inference opens transformational use cases (like real-time image/video generation). Prioritize those that align with the company's value.
- Engage with developer communities, startups, and established enterprises building AI-powered tools, software, and media pipelines. Cultivate partnerships with AI labs, tech agencies, media houses, and cloud providers.
- Conduct market research to stay current on IT trends, competitor activity, and customer needs.
- Collaborate with internal teams (sales, marketing, product, technical staff) to create targeted strategies and proposals.
- Prepare and deliver compelling business proposals, presentations, and RFP/RFQs.Negotiate and close contracts aligned with business objectives.
- Track KPIs, manage sales pipelines, and maintain accurate CRM records.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
- Ensure client satisfaction to foster long-term retention and growth.
Qualifications & Skills
Typical requirements include:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Marketing, or a related field
- 3–5+ years in business development, sales, or partnerships—preferably in AI, dev tools, cloud services, or API-first platforms.
- Strong knowledge of AI/ML deployment pipelines, inference infrastructure, or developer services, and market dynamics
- Excellent communication, presentation/storytelling (demo + pitch), negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Have strategic thinking, analytical mindset, and business acumen
- Proficiency with CRM tools and comfortable tracking sales metrics.
- Optional: leadership or team management experience, especially at managerial level
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Background in cloud-native infrastructure, GPU compute, or deep learning toolchains.
- Connections with developer advocacy networks, AI research communities, or platform partners like cloud/GPU vendors.
- Demonstrated ability to lead product-led growth efforts through developer outreach.
