The Employee Relations Manager is responsible for fostering a positive work environment by overseeing employee relations, engagement initiatives, and company-wide events. The role ensures fair employee treatment, effective resolution of workplace issues, and the implementation of programs that strengthen employee morale, motivation, and alignment with company values.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Employee Relations:
- Develop, implement, and manage employee relations policies, processes, and programs.
- Provide guidance on conflict resolution, disciplinary actions, and grievance handling.
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, company policies, and ethical standards.
- Partner with leaders to address workplace issues and maintain positive employee relations.
Labor Relations:
- Maintain positive labor-management relations through open communication and collaboration.
- Act as liaison with labor unions, employee associations, and regulatory bodies.
- Support the Legal Team on labor-related cases and collective bargaining preparations.
- Assist in administering and interpreting CBAs to ensure compliance.
- Provide guidance to leaders on labor practices and dispute handling.
- Monitor labor laws and recommend policy or process updates.
- Implement strategies to minimize disputes and promote cooperation.
Employee Engagement & Events:
- Design and implement employee engagement strategies to improve morale, retention, and productivity.
- Lead the planning and execution of employee activities, recognition programs, and corporate events.
- Gather and analyze employee feedback to enhance engagement initiatives.
- Promote company values through activities that build employee connection and belonging.
Governance & Reporting:
- Monitor ER metrics, engagement survey results, and recommend improvement actions.
- Prepare accurate and timely reports on ER cases and engagement initiatives.
- Keep abreast of industry best practices in employee relations and engagement.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Human Resources Management, Behavioral Science, or a related field. A Master's degree or postgraduate studies in Labor Relations or Industrial/Organizational Psychology is an advantage.
- At least 15 years of experience related to employee relations, labor relations, and engagement leadership roles. Proven experience in managing employee relations cases, labor negotiations, conflict resolution, and engagement programs, as well as in planning and executing corporate events and employee recognition initiatives.
- Strong grasp of labor laws, employee relations, and CBA administration, with expertise in engagement strategies, events, and recognition programs that enhance morale and culture. Proficient in HR analytics and data-driven decision-making to strengthen the employee experience.
- Strategic, people-focused leader with strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills; fosters collaboration, engagement, and an inclusive workplace with integrity, adaptability, and sound judgment.
- Amenable to work on-site in BGC, Taguig and perform plant visits from time to time.
