About Our Client
The client is a growing start-up in the consumer goods sector that recently established its own entity in the local market after operating through a distributor. They have ambitious plans for brand awareness and expansion over the next three to five years and are currently building their organisational structure, including strengthening their HR function to support rapid growth and cultural integration between management and employees.
Job Description
- Lead and manage all HR operations including recruitment, payroll, compliance, compensation and benefits, and organisational development.
- Act as a strategic business partner to management, supporting company growth and HR system improvements.
- Bridge cultural gaps between foreign leadership team and local teams, fostering collaboration and understanding.
- Oversee HR processes for Manila headquarters and provide support for Visayas and Mindanao offices; occasional travel required.
- Implement and recommend HR systems and payroll software to streamline operations.
- Drive employee engagement and culture-building initiatives in a start-up environment.
- Fully onsite role based in BGC; expected to be a role model for the team.
The Successful Applicant
- Experienced HR Leader: 5-10 years of progressive HR experience, ideally in retail or FMCG, with strong technical knowledge of Philippine labor laws and regulations.
- Strategic and Hands-On: Capable of managing end-to-end HR operations while acting as a true business partner to management in a start-up environment.
- Culturally Adaptable: Able to bridge cultural gaps between foreign leadership team and local teams, fostering collaboration and mutual understanding.
- Strong Personality and Leadership Presence: Assertive, charismatic, and confident in handling a tough team and influencing stakeholders.
- Proactive and Creative: Demonstrates a start-up mindset, anticipates challenges, and proposes innovative HR systems and solutions.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Skilled in managing employee relations and building a positive organisational culture.
- Location and Availability: Fully onsite in BGC, preferably residing nearby; willing to travel to Visayas and Mindanao offices as needed.
