We are looking for a dynamic, results-driven Business Development & Lead Generation Specialist to join our remote team and focus on identifying, engaging, and nurturing leads and clients across the African market. Your role will be key in expanding our footprint in the region, initiating contact with potential clients, and generating qualified opportunities for our sales team.
This is a remote position with a strong emphasis on outbound communication particularly through calls, emails, and follow-ups with prospective clients based in various African countries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct outbound calling to potential clients and leads across African markets.
- Qualify leads through structured conversations to understand needs, budget, and decision-making processes.
- Maintain and manage a pipeline of prospects using CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce).
- Set up meetings or demos for the sales or business development teams.
- Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and key players in different regions across Africa.
- Build and maintain relationships with potential clients through consistent follow-ups and nurturing strategies.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to refine lead generation strategies and messaging.
- Provide regular reports and updates on lead status, conversion rates, and outreach efforts.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in business development, lead generation, or sales — preferably targeting African markets.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English (French or Portuguese is a plus).
- Comfortable with cold calling, client engagement, and overcoming objections.
- Strong understanding of the African business landscape and cultural nuances.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment.
- Proficient with CRM tools and lead generation platforms.
- Organized, goal-oriented, and performance-driven.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in [relevant industry: e.g., SaaS, FinTech, B2B services, etc.]
- Experience working in or with clients from African countries.
