Job Summary:

The Booking Officer will be responsible for handling client bookings, managing travel arrangements, and providing outstanding customer service. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for travel. The ideal candidate will be proactive, customer-focused, and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process and manage travel bookings, including flights, accommodations, tours, and transportation.
  • Communicate with clients to understand their travel needs and preferences, and provide personalized recommendations.
  • Coordinate with suppliers, such as airlines, hotels, and tour operators, to secure reservations and negotiate rates.
  • Handle booking modifications, cancellations, and refunds in a professional manner.
  • Provide clients with accurate and timely information about travel itineraries, documentation, and policies.
  • Maintain and update client records and booking information in the agency's database.
  • Resolve any issues or complaints related to bookings promptly and effectively.
  • Stay informed about travel industry trends, destinations, and regulations to offer informed advice to clients.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Tourism, Hospitality, or a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in a booking or customer service role, preferably in the travel and tourism industry.
  • Strong knowledge of travel booking systems, reservation software, and online travel platforms.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in handling bookings and transactions.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • A passion for travel and a good understanding of popular destinations.
