SUMMARY:

This role will primarily be responsible for overseeing the sales and marketing department and handling group bookings, social media, event planning - both in-house and guest events.

The ideal candidate will possess good management and organization skills and be flexible, trustworthy and a multi-tasker. She/he will be able to handle any guest concerns and requests for any group booking and events as she/he handles quotation, negotiation and execution of each. 3-5 years minimum experience.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Oversee all functions of Sales & Marketing Department including events and social media
  • Coordinate with Hotel Department Heads to facilitate in-house events
  • Supervise junior sales and marketing staff
  • Generate new group business and foster relationships with repeat clients
  • Oversee and review all marketing material and contracts for accuracy
  • integral member of event planning team
  • Work closely with Front Office Department with group bookings
  • Work closely with Social Media Coordinator and FOS/FOM in order to put out some promotions to get more traction and in targeting the revenue target
  • Answer phone calls and monitor online activity (reservations, queries, etc)
  • Answer client/bookers questions about property facilities/services (e.g., hours of operation, rates and room types, event packages, promotions, etc)
  • Serve as the point of contact for clients and communicate with them by phone and email to respond to questions and requests
  • Handling quotations, contracts and overseeing of actual events on the day
  • Responsible for coordinating internally with all departments concerned for any group booking and events
  • Generating reports, preparing proposals, collections details, coordinating with clients & suppliers
  • Generate group and/or corporate leads through internet prospecting, networking, and telemarketing
  • In charge for sales call and other marketing plans/strategies of the company
  • Perform hotel site tours with potential clients
  • Monitor, screen, respond to and distribute incoming communications
  • Design, upload, extract and maintain customer databases
  • Create and manage Company and Travel Agent profiles on the property management system
  • File and retrieve documents and reference materials
  • Conduct research and collect data to prepare reports and documents
  • Utilizes an efficient sales strategy for the maximization of hotel and event revenue
  • Establishes strong relationships with vendors/suppliers to ensure maximization of hotel revenue
  • Must be able to do other duties as assigned by the management
  • Must create rooms/restaurant/event promotions and packages with Marketing Coordinator
  • Ensures target sales for rooms/events will be met
  • Must be able to plan, handle and oversee internal events of the company wherein inviting people from outside/public to come and join the event.
  • Assist in any special projects or other functions as needed

EXPERIENCE: Minimum 3-5 years

SCHEDULE:

Thursday - Tuesday; 9 hours per day

** Ideally between 9am to 6pm (and as needed for events)

SALARY: Commensurate with experience.
