Head of Human Resources

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and strategic HR Manager to lead our Human Resources function and oversee a growing HR team. This is a headship role reporting directly to senior management, with a critical mandate to align HR strategies with business goals and support the company's continued growth and operational excellence.

The ideal candidate will bring strength in recruitment and talent development, and also act as a key business partner collaborating with leadership to develop and implement HR programs that enhance workforce capability, drive employee engagement, and build a high-performance culture across all levels of the organization.

This position is based in Iloilo City, and we welcome applicants who are either natives of Iloilo or professionals seeking to relocate and make an impact in the region's booming construction and infrastructure sector.

Key Responsibilities:

HR Leadership & Strategy

• Lead the overall Human Resources function and manage a growing HR team.
• Serve as a strategic business partner to senior management by aligning HR initiatives with the company's short- and long-term business goals.
• Develop and implement HR strategies that support workforce planning, organizational development, and operational efficiency.
• Champion a performance-driven, inclusive, and values-based workplace culture.
• Provide guidance and support to leadership on organizational structure, change management, and succession planning.

Recruitment & Staffing

• Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract top talent across technical, administrative, and leadership roles.
• Work closely with department heads to forecast manpower requirements and fulfill staffing needs on time and within budget.
• Lead and refine talent acquisition processes, including job postings, sourcing, interviews, and onboarding.

Talent Development & Retention

• Design and lead training and development programs that enhance employee skills and career growth.
• Oversee performance management systems and ensure regular coaching, feedback, and appraisal cycles are conducted effectively.
• Create and implement retention strategies focused on employee engagement, career progression, and workforce motivation.

HR Operations & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws, government regulations, and company policies.
• Oversee HR administrative functions including timekeeping, payroll coordination, employee records, and benefits administration.
• Monitor and continuously improve internal HR processes and systems for efficiency and compliance.

Employee Relations & Culture Building

• Foster strong employee relations and resolve conflicts in a fair and timely manner.
• Lead employee engagement initiatives that strengthen workplace morale, cohesion, and productivity.
• Promote diversity, equity, and inclusion within the workplace.

Job Specifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or related field.
• At least 8 years of relevant HR experience, preferably in the construction, engineering, or industrial sector.
• Strong background in recruitment and talent development is a must.
• Working knowledge of Philippine labor laws and HR best practices.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proactive, organized, and solutions-oriented.
• Preferably a native of Iloilo or willing to relocate and build a long-term career in the region.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php50, Php70,000.00 per month
