DM Setter for Health + Fitness Coach

About the Role:

At The Busy Parents Dietitian, we help moms drop the weight, ditch the overwhelm so that they can feel strong and present with their family.

As our Direct Message (DM) Setter and Lead Generator, you'll be the first point of contact for people who reach out through Instagram and other social media platforms. Your role is to build genuine, empathetic connections and guide the right people to book a call with our team.

You don't need sales experience. You do need to be great at listening, asking the right questions, and genuinely care about people.

You'll handle lead generation, DM conversations, appointment setting, and light social media engagement while maintaining a high standard of customer service and communication with our sales team.

Responsibilities:

• Identify, start, and maintain conversations with potential leads from social media platforms and occasionally email/text.
• Use DM scripts and frameworks to uncover pain points, goals, and readiness to change
• Ask thoughtful follow-up questions to qualify leads and assess interest in our services
• Schedule qualified leads for coaching discovery calls in the calendar system
• Maintain accurate lead records and appointments in the CRM
• Represent the Paul Buono Fitness brand and deliver excellent customer service throughout the appointment‑setting process
• Meet role KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) and sales targets
• Collaborate with the team to continuously improve messaging and conversion rates

Qualifications:

• Strong written communication with an engaging, motivational, and supportive tone
• Confident using social media for outreach (DMs, polls, story replies, etc…)
• Empathetic and able to connect with people navigating challenges including weight loss, health issues, and real-life struggles
• Self‑motivated with strong organizational and time‑management skills to set appointments and follow up without dropping leads
• Able to work independently in a remote setting
• Trustworthy and able to maintain confidentiality of leads, clients, and sensitive information
• Open to feedback and willing to test new approaches
• High school diploma or equivalent (additional qualifications are a plus, but not required)
• Preferred: Experience with coaching, fitness, nutrition, or similar client-facing roles
• Preferred: Experience using lead tools as ManyChat and Trello

Availability:

• 6 to 8 hours per day
• Must be able to check in and respond to leads within 5-10min while working

Compensation:

• Monthly base pay plus commission for every successful coaching sale that results from your conversations
• Monthly earnings range from $400 to $1,300 USD, depending on performance
• High performers can consistently earn $1,300+ USD per month as they grow into the role long-term

Note: This is an independent contractor role. You will be self-employed and responsible for your own taxes, tools, and benefits. You will also be responsible for invoicing monthly for your work.
