IT SYSTEMS ENGINEER (MacOS & Intune)

Key Responsibilities:

macOS Deployment and Management: Deploy, configure, and manage macOS devices using Microsoft Intune, ensuring systems are up-to-date, secure, and optimized for performance.

Troubleshooting and Support: Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 support for macOS-related issues, minimizing downtime and improving user experience.

Intune Administration: Utilize Microsoft Intune for Apple device lifecycle management, including device enrollment, configuration profiles, compliance policies, application deployment, and patch management.

Security and Compliance: Implement and maintain industry best practices for macOS security, including encryption (FileVault), password policies, and conditional access integration with Entra ID (formerly Azure AD).

Documentation: Develop and maintain detailed documentation for macOS configurations, deployment procedures, and support workflows.

Collaboration: Partner with IT infrastructure, security, and service desk teams to ensure cohesive endpoint management and security across the organization.

Stakeholder Communication: Engage with internal stakeholders to understand needs, report on progress, and ensure macOS solutions align with business requirements.

Required Qualifications:

Proven experience in deploying, supporting, and managing macOS devices in an enterprise environment.

Strong proficiency with Microsoft Intune (Endpoint Manager) for Apple device management.

Familiarity with Apple Business Manager (ABM), automated device enrollment (ADE), and configuration profiles.

Solid understanding of macOS architecture, security features, and troubleshooting tools.

Effective communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.

Ability to work autonomously and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a managed IT services or enterprise environment.

Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS-102, MD-102) or Apple certifications (e.g., ACSP).

Exposure to scripting (e.g., Bash, PowerShell) for automation and advanced configuration.

Familiarity with Conditional Access, Defender for Endpoint on macOS, and compliance integrations
