Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior System Engineer with a strong background in managing enterprise-level IT infrastructure, particularly within Microsoft Operating Systems (MOS) environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of Windows-based systems, ensuring high availability, performance, and security across all platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and maintain enterprise Microsoft-based infrastructure including Windows Server (2016/2019/2022), Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
  • Manage and maintain virtualization environments (e.g., Hyper-V, VMware) integrated with Microsoft technologies.
  • Implement and maintain high-availability and disaster recovery solutions using technologies such as Windows Failover Clustering and DFS.
  • Monitor system performance and resolve issues related to hardware, software, and networking in a Windows environment.
  • Lead systems upgrades, patch management, and server hardening in compliance with security policies.
  • Automate repetitive tasks using PowerShell or other scripting languages.
  • Collaborate with security, network, and application teams to ensure integrated and secure system design.
  • Provide Level 3 technical support and mentor junior engineers.
  • Participate in capacity planning, system audits, and documentation of all processes and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in system engineering roles with a focus on Microsoft environments.
  • Proven expertise with Windows Server OS, Active Directory, and PowerShell scripting.
  • Experience with Microsoft System Center (SCCM, SCOM) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with hybrid environments including Microsoft Azure or Office 365 administration.
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols and system security practices.
  • Microsoft certifications (e.g., MCSA, MCSE, or Azure certifications) are highly desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, communication, and ability to work independently or in a team.

Preferred Experience

  • MOS Environment management experience, including Microsoft Office Suite deployment and integration.
  • Experience in supporting enterprise-level Microsoft Office 365 migrations and upgrades.
  • Understanding of enterprise email systems, OneDrive, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams from a systems standpoint.
