About the role

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Purchasing Staff to join our team at Edisons Group of Companies Inc. in Cagayan de Oro, Misamis Oriental. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials and services to support the company's operations.

What you'll be doing

  1. Collaborating with internal stakeholders to identify purchasing requirements and source appropriate suppliers
  2. Negotiating contracts and maintaining strong relationships with vendors to secure the best possible terms
  3. Placing and tracking orders, monitoring delivery timelines and following up on any issues
  4. Maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring that stock levels meet production demands
  5. Identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the purchasing function
  6. Providing reporting and analysis to the management team on purchasing activities and performance

What we're looking for

  1. At least 1-3 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role, preferably within the trade and sales, manufacturing, transport or logistics industry
  2. Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with both internal and external stakeholders
  3. Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritise effectively
  4. Proficient in the use of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems and Microsoft Office applications
  5. A keen eye for detail and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues
  6. A commitment to delivering high-quality work and continuously improving processes
