
Strategic Partnership Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Partnerships Development Manager to join our team.
The successful candidate will work under the direct supervision of the Representative and Country Director or designate and manage the work of the Partnerships, Communication and Reports Unit.
- Support senior management in further positioning our organization as a go-to partner for governments, working to strengthen our value proposition as a technical assistance provider, in addition to our operational capabilities.
- Proactively scan development landscapes and identify opportunities for strategic engagement with governments and other development actors, such as IFIs, particularly in areas like rural transformation, sustainable infrastructure, human capital development, including social protection, and disaster risk management.
- Analyze national development priorities and determine how our organization can support governments in furthering their goals and closing funding gaps.
- Identify and pursue strategic opportunities to partner on development agendas and support achievement of relevant SDGs and targets, within frameworks of national Zero Hunger Strategic Reviews, our Country Strategic Plans, and South-South and Triangular Cooperation (SSTC); and
- Provide strategic advice to senior management on engagement with government authorities and other development actors, including IFIs.
This role requires a minimum of five years or more of relevant professional experience in partnership roles.
A good understanding of government and corporate strategies is essential. The ideal candidate should have gained significant experience in exploring new opportunities and providing inputs to design and develop solutions with prospective partners.
Strong analytical skills, ability to analyze and interpret information, and draw out key messages are also required. Fluency in spoken and written English is necessary.
