Collections and Customer Service Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated Collections and Customer Service Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for contacting customers with overdue accounts, negotiating payment arrangements, and maintaining accurate records while delivering exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Make outbound calls to customers regarding overdue payments and ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Negotiate payment plans and settlements in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Update customer accounts and document all collection activities.
  • Follow up on broken promises and maintain consistent contact with debtors.
  • Adhere to compliance regulations and maintain confidentiality.
  • Meet daily and monthly targets and call quality standards.
  • Handle disputes and escalate complex cases to the appropriate department.
Requirements:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent; further education is an advantage.
  • 1–2 years of experience in collections or a similar contact center role.
  • Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
  • The ability to remain professional and calm under pressure.
  • Familiarity with debt collection laws and practices.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish would be a plus.
