Sales Tax Compliance Specialist

As a Sales Tax Accountant, you will play a crucial role in preparing and submitting sales tax filings, monitoring clients' tax collection variances, and providing timely assistance to resolve critical issues.
Responsibilities- Prepare accurate and compliant sales tax filings.
- Monitor and analyze clients' tax collection variances to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Provide prompt and effective support to resolve time-sensitive issues.
- Assist with special client projects, including data analysis and documentation.
- At least 2 years of accounting or audit experience.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills to manage multiple clients and priorities.
- Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills, including complex formulas and pivot tables.
- Bonus points for US tax knowledge and/or holding a CPA certification.
- Average project completion timeframe.
- Average past due return project completion timeframe.
- Client tax variance percentage.
- Timely submission of returns.
- Completion of online education and training.
Our ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. They will be proficient in Excel/Google Sheets and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
