Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Professional to join our team as a VAT Compliance Specialist.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely VAT compliance across various clients, utilizing their expertise in tax laws and regulations to mitigate risks and optimize financial outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the preparation and submission of VAT returns for clients, ensuring accuracy and adherence to regulatory requirements;
  • Assist in VAT registration and deregistration processes, maintaining up-to-date records and ensuring seamless client transitions;
  • Maintain accurate and current records for client VAT accounts, facilitating efficient reconciliation and reporting;
  • Assist in preparing VAT refund and penalty reconsideration applications, leveraging knowledge of tax laws and regulations to secure favorable outcomes;
  • Review client documentation to ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions;
  • Stay updated with the latest VAT rules and practices in the UAE, applying this knowledge to inform business decisions and drive revenue growth;
  • Maintain confidentiality and data security standards in all processes, protecting sensitive information and safeguarding client interests;
Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of relevant experience in UAE VAT or tax-related role, preferably within a professional services firm or similar organization;
  • Good knowledge of Tax, Financial Accounting and Compliance matters, with a strong understanding of UAE tax laws and regulations;
  • Experience in financial advisory and other related financial services and products, demonstrating ability to provide holistic solutions to clients;
  • Ability to comply with tax laws and obligations, maintaining accurate records and adhering to regulatory requirements;
  • Proficient in English, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with colleagues and clients;
