
Help Desk Specialist

As a skilled IT professional, you will be responsible for providing remote technical support and assistance to end-users. This includes resolving hardware, software, and network-related issues promptly and effectively.
You will work closely with the IT team to implement projects, upgrades, and system improvements that contribute to the overall efficiency of IT operations.
- Troubleshooting and Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve IT problems by identifying root causes and escalating to supplier or partner organisations as required.
- Remote Installation and Maintenance: Remotely install, configure, and maintain computer systems, mobile devices, software, printers, and peripherals to ensure optimal performance and security.
- Access Management: Manage system user accounts and access permissions to ensure data security and compliance with company policies.
- IT Support Tickets: Log, manage and respond to IT support tickets and inquiries via various channels, such as email, phone, or ticketing systems.
- User Training and Guidance: Provide training and guidance to end-users on IT tools, applications, and best practices to enhance their productivity and technical proficiency.
- Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain IT inventory, including hardware and software licenses, and assist with procurement as needed.
To succeed in this role, you must have a degree in Information Technology / Computer Science or a related field, and a minimum 3-5 years prior experience providing support in areas such as Windows 10/11, M365, Active Directory / Azure AD, SharePoint, Teams, and Xero.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel, and experience with remote support and management applications, such as TeamViewer, AnyDesk, VNC, and help desk software, like Freshdesk, Zendesk, Jira.
- Communication Skills: Strong English written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
