Job Description

The Telecommunications Strategic Partnerships Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the timely deployment of telco facilities across strategic properties and corporate accounts. They oversee project scoping, feasibility, and execution, ensuring alignment with customer needs and company objectives. Additionally, they foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, drive revenue maximization, and facilitate technical discussions to optimize project outcomes.

ROLE SUMMARY: The Strategic Advocacy Business Development Manager is accountable for the establishment of strategic partnerships and the cultivation of relationships with key industry stakeholders, national government agencies, and selected distribution utilities. They are responsible for advancing the network team's legislative agenda while leading external engagements focused on initiatives such as Telco as Critical Infrastructure, Ease of Doing Business, National Tower Masterplanning, and IBS & Fiber Neutral Host Accreditation.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. STRATEGIC GUIDANCE AND PLANNING: Develop and execute strategic work plans and programs to support the company's legislative agenda and priorities.
  2. Facilitate the establishment of standards and collaborative practices among industry partners to optimize capital and operational efficiencies, ease of doing business, and ensure seamless access to properties with Globe infrastructure.
  3. Consolidate the escalated recurring regulatory policy issues raised by internal and external stakeholders.
  4. Process and assess which issues can be resolved through legislative efforts or tactical means.
  5. Conduct thorough research and benchmarking of successful telecommunications-related advocacy campaigns and initiatives on a global scale.
  6. Study and develop a deep understanding of the policies and legislation related to telecommunications.
  7. Ensure completion of Joint Pole Agreement with Meralco and other special agreements related to priority programs and initiatives.

REGULATORY AND ADVOCACY: Advocate for legislation that supports efficient business processes and recognition of telecommunications as critical infrastructure. Engage and actively participate in government-led or industry-led collaborations to streamline processes affecting Globe and its partners' business operations.

STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT: Develop and maintain strong business relationships with assigned national government agencies and distribution utilities' working levels and key decision makers.

OTHERS: Ensure individual development plans are updated, and maintain compliance with scheduled coaching sessions and trainings.

KPIs: Completion of priority regulatory and policy agendas, Contracts Completion, Compliance to Ways of Working, Completion of Special Projects, Positive NPS Rating.

TOP 3-5 DELIVERABLES: Completion of priority initiatives and projects, Agreed Industry lease approach and principles, Advocates of zero lease initiatives.
