SolutionInn is a rapidly growing company focused on providing textbook solutions, AI-powered tutoring, and digital resources for students. We are expanding our reach and shifting from B2C to B2B by targeting partnerships with colleges and universities in the USA and Canada. As a Business Development Manager (Part-Time), you will spearhead our efforts to target and acquire these institutional partners.
Main Responsibilities
- Identify and secure strategic partnerships with colleges and universities in the USA and Canada, aligning SolutionInn's platform with their academic needs.
- Conduct market research to understand the specific challenges faced by the education sector.
- Develop targeted strategies for engaging with institutional clients, creating proposals, and presenting SolutionInn's value proposition to academic decision-makers.
- Manage the sales cycle, from lead generation to deal closure.
- Pitch SolutionInn's platform to educational leaders, showcasing how it enhances student engagement and academic performance.
- Negotiate terms, finalize contracts, and ensure a smooth handoff to the partnerships team for implementation.
- BUILD lasting relationships with universities, ensuring a deep understanding of their evolving needs.
- Collaborate with internal teams (product, marketing, and client success) to implement our platform within partnered institutions.
- Expand existing partnerships, identifying opportunities for upselling or introducing new features and services.
- Stay up-to-date on emerging trends in the higher education sector and adapt strategies accordingly.
- Attend conferences, webinars, and networking events to increase visibility and attract potential partners.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in business development, sales, or partnerships, preferably within the education sector or EdTech.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to gather insights from data and market trends to inform business strategies.
- Ability to think strategically about growth opportunities, while also being hands-on in execution.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex solutions clearly and persuasively.
- Familiarity with the academic ecosystem, including decision-making processes within colleges and universities.
- Proven track record of closing large deals with academic institutions and building long-term strategic partnerships.
