
New Patient Support Specialist

This role plays a vital part in supporting patients at the very beginning of their care journey. As a New Patient Team Representative, you'll be responsible for processing new patient referrals, verifying insurance eligibility, and coordinating with patients and providers.
About the RoleThis is a remote contractor position where you'll work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth communication and task completion. Your strong organizational skills and attention to detail will help maintain accurate documentation and referral logs.
Key Responsibilities- Process new patient referrals and ensure all documentation is accurate and complete
- Verify insurance eligibility and keep referral logs updated
- Coordinate with patients, providers, and internal teams via phone, chat, and email
- 2+ years of experience in insurance verification and authorization
- Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance, and referral/authorization processes
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management
