Job Opportunity: Assistant Bid Writer

As a key member of our bid team, you will play a pivotal role in researching and crafting high-quality proposals to secure new contracts. This position demands exceptional written and verbal communication skills, as well as the ability to manage competing deadlines and work efficiently under pressure.

  • Draft and refine responses to Invitations to Tender, ensuring they accurately address client needs and effectively showcase company strengths.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues across departments to gather information for proposals, incorporating stakeholder feedback into bid documentation.
  • Thoroughly proofread bid documents for accuracy and adherence to client specifications, guaranteeing proposals meet corporate branding and quality standards.
  • Conduct market research to inform tender responses, maintaining a database of prior bids and responses for future use.
  • Track and report on bid progress against timelines, supporting the maintenance of a bid calendar to ensure alignment with submission deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and work under pressure.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and bid management tools.
  • Experience in bid writing, marketing, or project planning.
