Job Overview

The role of Assistant Bid Writer involves supporting the bid team in developing high-quality proposals tailored to win contracts. This position requires close collaboration with internal departments while ensuring timely submission and compliance with client requirements.

Main Responsibilities
  • Content Development:
  1. Assist in drafting and editing responses to Invitations to Tender.
  2. Tailor bid content to accurately address client needs and highlight company strengths.
  • Collaboration:
  1. Liaise with colleagues across departments, such as sales, finance, and project management, to collect information for proposals.
  2. Incorporate stakeholder feedback into bid documentation.
  • Compliance and Quality Control:
  1. Proofread all bid documents for grammatical accuracy and adherence to client specifications.
  2. Ensure proposals comply with corporate branding and quality standards.
  • Research and Information Gathering:
  1. Conduct market and client research to shape tender responses effectively.
  2. Maintain a database of prior bids and responses for future use.
  • Project Coordination:
  1. Track and report on bid progress against set timelines.
  2. Support the maintenance of a bid calendar, ensuring alignment with submission deadlines.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines and work effectively under pressure.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and bid management tools.
  • Experience or strong knowledge in bid writing, marketing, or project planning.
