Job Overview

As a Facilities Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities and maintenance of buildings and facilities. This role requires strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.


The ideal candidate will have experience in handling both hard and soft services, including maintenance and repairs, safety and risk management, budgeting and financial management, staff supervision and training, vendor and stakeholder management, and flexibility to work on a shifting schedule.


This position is part of the Facilities Management functional area, which focuses on all aspects of the operations of a set of assets. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field and at least 5 years of experience in facilities management.



Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Repairs - Oversee routine maintenance and repairs of buildings and equipment
  • Safety and Risk Management - Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards through regular audits and assessments
  • Budgeting and Financial Management - Manage budgets and allocate resources effectively to meet operational needs
  • Staff Supervision and Training - Provide formal supervision to employees and track their training and development
  • Soft Services - Manage vendors and stakeholders to ensure smooth operations
  • Flexibility - Ability to work on a shifting schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays

About You
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field
