Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled professional to assume the role of Human Resource Generalist. As an HR Generalist, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Human Resource department, including managing employee inquiries, processing onboarding and offboarding procedures, and maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Administer human resource programs, including onboarding, compensation, benefits, leaves of absence, and position changes.
  • Respond to frequently asked questions from employees and managers regarding standard policies, processes, benefits, etc., referring complex matters to senior level HR team members.
  • Participate in new hire orientation and other employee development programs.
  • Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review policies and practices to ensure compliance.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
  • Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
  • Conduct periodic audits of HR files and records to ensure all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
  • Serve as liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and retirement plan providers.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related field is also required.
