About the Role

This role involves supporting patients at the beginning of their care journey. You will be responsible for processing new patient referrals, verifying insurance eligibility, and ensuring accurate documentation.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Process new patient referrals and maintain accurate referral logs
  • Verify insurance eligibility and update patient records
  • Organize and manage medical documents in a secure system
  • Coordinate with patients, healthcare providers, and internal teams via phone, email, and chat
  • Handle faxes, tasks, and provider requests promptly and efficiently
  • Ensure evaluation appointments are set up correctly and patients remain on schedule
  • Maintain smooth team communication through daily updates and reports
Requirements and Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of experience in insurance verification and authorization
  • Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance, and referral/authorization processes
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word & Excel) and comfortable using EMR systems
  • Professional communication skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Bonus: Prior experience in physical therapy or healthcare
