The Sales Development Representative position is an entry-level sales role that targets inbound inquiries and qualifies warm inbound leads for the hospitality team. This role acts as the first point of contact for hospitality businesses exploring solutions.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the primary point of contact for inbound leads from various channels, including website inquiries, marketing campaigns, product trials, and events.
- Qualify leads based on business needs, fit, and readiness to purchase, ensuring smooth handover to account executives.
- Manage and nurture a pipeline of inbound leads through consistent follow-up until they are sales-ready.
- Partner with marketing to follow up on campaigns and provide feedback on lead quality and effectiveness.
- Build strong knowledge of the hospitality sector, customer pain points, and competitive trends to guide prospects effectively.
- Collaborate closely with account executives and internal teams to ensure seamless lead transitions and contribute to team initiatives.
- Proven experience in selling across multiple channels (phone, email, social) and using varied sales processes.
- A previous business-to-business sales background engaging with SMBs, ideally within the hospitality industry.
- Strong track record in qualifying leads and building a healthy sales pipeline.
- Hands-on experience with sales CRMs, such as Salesforce.
- Sales experience in new business development, preferably within SaaS solutions.
- Familiarity with the Australia/New Zealand market is beneficial but not required.
