Overview

Avensys is seeking a Telecom - Junior / Assistant Technician with 0-2 years of experience. The role involves hands-on telecom installation and maintenance tasks in datacenter and outdoor environments.

Responsibilities
  • Apply telecom knowledge of copper/fibers (splicing), termination and patching as per standard datacenter and outdoor requirements.
  • Terminate power cables (AC & DC) and perform low current work for CCTV, access points, etc.
  • Install rack, PDU, servers, switches, routers, chassis, etc.
  • Identify and replace faulty components such as SFPs, patch cords, or transceivers.
  • Use testing tools for fiber (e.g., power meter, OTDR) and ensure proper documentation.
  • Basic PC skills to provide remote access and perform basic device configuration.
  • Prepare reports and update emails as required.
Qualifications
  • 0-2 years of telecom experience or relevant training.
  • Knowledge of copper/fiber splicing, termination, and patching per datacenter/outdoor standards.
  • Knowledge of power cable termination (AC/DC).
  • Basic PC skills for remote access and device configuration.
  • Willingness to perform on-site installations and maintenance tasks.
