The Wholesale Assets Business Sales Head is responsible for the overall management of the selling of trade solutions (trade services, trade finance, and supply chain finance solutions), sustainability finance, and agribusiness of the Bank in terms of profitability, volumes, key result areas, vision, strategy, and people management.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Analytical and Critical Thinking

  • Accountable for the overall strategic direction and implementation of the asset business portfolio of WBS and manages the assets business sales team to ensure that the products are fit for their stated purpose and distributed and delivered properly to customers.

Relationship Management

  • Partners and builds strong relationships with key stakeholders through strong and effective communication to identify potential client segments, manage client needs, and ensure delivery of the appropriate product or solution to the client.
  • Supports the coverage and product teams in looking for new business opportunities and providing customized solutions for specific customers while mitigating overall risk to the bank.
  • Support the management of Assets Business Division's P&L via reporting and monitoring tools to ensure that business objectives and KRAs are achieved.
  • Grows the wholesale assets business by reviewing the revenue and cost drivers of product performance to determine profitability.

Market Research and Business Intelligence

  • Devises, owns, and implements a plan in conjunction with Wholesale Assets Product Management & Development Team, taking into account industry and economic information, market intelligence, customer/sector behavior, emerging technology, and regulatory requirements to better position the Bank's asset products in the target markets.

Process Improvement

  • Encourages continuous product and process improvements using process improvement tools and techniques to achieve product excellence for the Bank's customers.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Strong background in sales and marketing, product knowledge – loans, trade, supply chain.
  • Broad knowledge of BSP and other external regulations.
  • Understanding of market and environmental drivers for assets products.
